When Kristy Barber set out to create Kuwaii in 2008, her main focus was to create beautifully made women's clothing and footwear which was considered and made to last. That is still today the core value of the brand. 

Kuwaii are a step ahead of most with brand transparency, honesty, and respect within the industry. Turning away from trend focused and mass produced, Kuwaii is proudly Melbourne made. All clothing is made in their Brunswick studio or within a 15km radius. Their footwear which has a cult following, is made in one the last surviving Australian footwear factories.
